Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about sending a letter.

How does it work?

Click the link to take you to our website app, record a short voice message to the person you want to write to, and we turn it into a beautifully formatted printed letter. You review and edit it, choose a font style, fill in the address, and pay. We print it and post it within 1 working day.

How much does it cost?

Each letter costs £10, which includes the printing, envelope, and postage. There are no hidden fees.

How long will it take to arrive?

We post your letter within 1 working day of receiving your order. Royal Mail typically delivers within 2-5 working days after that, so most letters arrive within a week of ordering.

Can I edit the letter before it's sent?

Yes — after your voice note is transcribed you see a full preview of the letter and can edit any part of it before paying. Fix any transcription errors, add anything you forgot to say, or adjust the wording as much as you like.

What does the letter look like?

It's a real printed letter on quality paper, in your chosen font style (Classic, Elegant, or Handwritten), posted in a proper envelope. It looks like a personal letter — not a marketing mail-out.

Do you post internationally?

At the moment we post to UK addresses only. We hope to offer international posting in the future.

What if the letter doesn't arrive?

If your letter hasn't arrived after 10 working days, please contact us at hellospokenwithlove@gmail.com and we will reprint and repost it free of charge.

Can I get a refund?

If your letter hasn't been posted yet, we'll refund you in full — just contact us immediately. Once a letter has been posted we're unable to offer a refund as the service has been completed. See our Terms and Conditions for full details.

Is my data safe?

Yes. We take data protection seriously. Once your letter has been posted, the letter content, recipient name and address are permanently deleted from our system. We only retain your email address for customer service purposes. Read our full Privacy Policy.

The recipient doesn't use the internet — is that fine?

Absolutely — that's the whole point. The person receiving the letter just needs a letterbox. They don't need a phone, email, or any technology at all. A real letter arrives and they can hold it, re-read it, and keep it.

Can I send a letter to myself?

You can — some people use it as a way to send a beautiful printed note to themselves as a keepsake. Just put your own address in the recipient field.
